Testimonials by our students
We had teachers that were very knowledgeable and experienced Kundalini yoga teacher trainers who hold high credibility in the international Kundalini community. Both Guru Dass and Ram Singh were also amazing musicians who not only transformed us from practicing yogi’s to level one teachers, but also facilitated amazing classes and experiences with their music along the way. Live music in class is an absolute privilege and joy that til my teacher training I hadn’t experienced.

"I was taught Hatha yoga 20 years ago by Australia's best teachers. I have also done many intense Buddhist meditation retreats. But I struggled to integrate all of this in to my daily life until I did Level 1 Kundalini teacher training with Guru Dass. Truly transformative course and well run in a beautiful setting thanks Mahanraj".

"I had the blessing of attending gurudass first level one teacher training in Australia. It was amazing and I am still reaping the life enhancing transformation from the seeds planted in 2009.
This was a wonderful training full of such awe inspiring teachers. For me personally gurudass stood out amongst these teachers. Why? Because he is real. He brings his full Self to the teachings. He doesn't teach from a place of dogma, nor from a spiritual air. He teachers from a space of authentic genuine practical experience that allows you to dive deeply into just being you.
This is the reason why over the years I continue to return to his workshops and level two teacher trainings. Each time I discover another layer of my Self ready to blossom.
Gurudass is a gifted teacher who has the inner ability to know. He knows the group as well as the individual. He knows when to be conceptual and when to be traditional. He knows when to take the experience deeper or when to lighten up. And most importantly he knows when to sing.
Gurudass has deeply touched my heart and his approach to the teachings continue to nurture my soul".

"The teacher training in Brunswick Heads with Mahanraj, Guru Dass and Sat Siri took me on a journey. Not just a journey of deepening my appreciation and understanding of Kundalini Yoga, but also a journey to discover who I am. Each week is intense, and I consider it a true blessing that we were under the guidance and protection of such authentic, heart driven teachers who epitomize what it is to be Bountiful, Beautiful and Blissful. Being in what I have affectionately termed the ‘Divine sandwich’ where we sit between Mahanraj and either Guru Dass or Sat Siri was an amazing experience.
To even consider being a teacher is so humbling, and to be given the freedom to grow into what that means – the freedom to release the old and become our truth is a priceless gift that we were given in Brunswick Heads, by some of the most inspirational people I have met. Sat Nam."

"My Kundalini Yoga teacher training experience took me on a journey out of my head and into my heart. Along the way I experienced many "ah-ha" moments but probably the most profound for me was experiencing what it feels like to love myself. I have had that same feeling for others in my life but all the negative talk in my head, the worries and the fears had never allowed me enough space to experience that same feeling for myself.
It makes me feel blessed for having found this teacher training course with Guru Dass, Sat Siri and Mahanraj. Together they created a safe and warm space for me to find a way towards being happier with being me. I can't even find the words to express how grateful I am for that. It's the reason why I now know I need to keep on practicing and sharing the teachings of Kundalini Yoga with as many people as I can."

"I just completed the Level 2 modality, Authentic Relationships with Guru Dass. Wow what a marvelous journey of camaraderie, laughter, tears beauty and insights. Held in the poignant, uplifting and heart-filling company, words and melodies of Guru Dass, this workshop was very profound and life-changing for me. I'm still feeling the unfolding and deep benefits of cultivating a solid and authentic relationship with Me! Thank you Guru Dass!"

"I first met Guru Dass in 2010 when I started my Level 1 Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training. I have attended further training sessions since that time and corresponded with Guru Dass as required for completion of my studies. In my first and subsequent training modules I have really enjoyed Guru Dass sharing his knowledge of Kundalini Yoga and also the knowledge and wisdom he has gained through his own life experience.
He is gifted orally with his ability to convey concepts and philosophy on life in a way that expands our mental horizons and perhaps limited perceptions of life as we know it. He has a remarkable ability to take any question and provide the answers which require the student to think a little outside the box to our traditional style of learning or thinking patterns.
He seems to meet the student where they are at and allows them to find their own truth while providing guidance when sort.
He is gifted musically and with the reciting of various mantras he is able to connect you to the depth of your inner being. The various notes can strike a chord which are a gateway to your soul and the techniques used allow the releasing of emotional blockages stored in the body. Some of the mantras have a very expansive effect which allow the student to experience the reality of their existence.
His approach seems to be direct and firm when required yet you feel that he is gentle and kind with a warm heart and a sense of humor.
Guru Dass is an extremely gifted teacher and you sense that what is being communicated is truth. He shares this knowledge humbly with his students. My feeling is that it is a blessing to connect with a soul of this calibre in one’s lifetime.
Wow! Wahe Guru! Eternally grateful that I have been able to be taught by Guru Dass and that I may have some time to continue to learn from him during this lifetime."

"The level two course was totally wonderful - the amazing organisation from Mahanraj, the delicious food, the divine company of 11 Kundalini goddesses and then of course the inspirational teachings of Guru Dass. Guru Dass has a wonderful way of delivering the content with such genuine sincerity, wisdom, insight and best of all, he is so down to earth. i can't wait to do the next module in 2014."

"The progression from yoga student to yoga teacher is a process that requires each teacher running the course to have the qualities of understanding, patience, humility and the ability to hold the class so they learn and understand.
I did my teacher training with Guru Dass in Brisbane (2009), a member of the first teacher training that he held in Brisbane. It was an experience that I will never forget. I was so blessed to be a part of group with several musicians attending, and if you know Guru Dass, you know he loves his music. What a privilege it was it have “live” Sadhana music almost every day, if not from Guru Dass, than from another musician, or at times a combination. This was an excellent way to master the Sadhana chants, as well as be exposed to the musical talents of Guru Dass.
My teacher training journey took place in the Gold Coast Hinterland at magical Springbrook. The mist rolled in and the damp sat with us in Sadhana, and often sat with us most of the day, but somehow that mist and fog added a mystical feel to the experience. There was a sense of being closer to God and to Yogi Bhajan as we chanted in the clouds.
Sharing the space with fellow students who like myself, had waited several years to do Kundalini Yoga teacher training was fun, we all had our stories to tell, and during several sessions - our tears to cry. The newcomers to Kundalini Yoga spent the first few days getting used to early rising, long chanting sessions and vigorous Kriyas, but we all supported each other and friendships that last to this day, were formed.
The stories flowed from Guru Dass about his times with Yogi Bhajan, and his own journey to Kundalini Yoga. For me personally, I loved the stories, I had been a devotee of Yogiji for so many years, and to hear stories from someone who sat at his side and followed his instruction was a blessing.
During my training there were others who contributed so much to the learning progress, including Har Simrat, Guru Prem and other teachers popping now and then to share their knowledge and experiences. It was a journey I was meant to take, one I will always remember.
If you want to be a teacher, or if you just want to delve a little deeper into the Self, then do Kundalini Yoga teacher training. If your soul yearns for the rhythm of the chants, then attend a teacher training with Guru Dass and his guitar. It is exciting, difficult at times and tiring most days! But each day peels away a few more layers of the self that no longer serves us, and brings forth a new understanding of who you are, and where you are headed in this life.
Thank You to all who have helped me on my journey of Kundalini Yoga, it is a blessing to teach and to receive the teachings.
Sat Nam & Blessings"

"Oh WOW, I've just returned from the first of 3 teacher training retreats in Brunswick Heads! The beginning seems so long ago, what a truly amazing week it was. The schedule seemed somewhat daunting on first impressions, up at 5am for a 5:30-8:00 Sadhana- yoga and chanting ( an exquisite way to welcome each new day) 8:00-9:30 a relaxed breakfast in the sun, connecting with like minded yogis, 9:30-1:00 theory and yoga, 1:00- 3:00 lunch ( which allowed time for beach walks, swims, perusing the local wares a short walk away or a snooze in the sun) 3:00-6:00 theory, more yoga (so good , different kriyas and meditations each time!) 7:30 Yogi Bhajan DVD and meditation or free time, 10:00 Bed, or more chatting, beach walks, massages.
After living this for 8 days I wish I could have stayed on for another 8! At least I know I'll be back there in November to do it all again. I embarked on my 40 day sadhana the day after I returned and love getting up at 5:30 each morning to welcome the new day and sunrise with yoga. The course is truly amazing, Guru Dass a beautiful teacher who gently guides us through each topic with humour, music, chanting, empathy and compassion. Mahanraj is a beautiful soul who is right there with you, holding your hand every step of the way making sure we are all comfortable and cared for. Her kriyas were divine and the gong which ended each class is like nothing I've experienced before, totally blissful. Mahanraj sourced the most incredible food, a balance of RAW and vegetarian/vegan with a well stocked cupboard of yogi teas, nuts, seeds and everything organic!
What an amazing time, spent with an awesome group of yogis where special friendships were created our minds were worked our bodies were stretched our auras were expanded and we left balanced and in a huge bubble of bliss."

"I can honestly say that this was the best experience of my life. Truly transformational! I am so blessed to have been taught by Guru Dass. You certainly feel the teachings of Yogi Bhajan and the Golden Chain when in his presence. His ability to transcend these teachings and create an experience for each individual has been such a gift to us all. I have come away with the most precious gift one can receive, that of abundance. Much gratitude to Guru Dass for guiding me through this journey and Mahanraj for organising and setting the scene for what will become such a pivotal time in my life.
I first met Guru Dass when he visited Melbourne for a workshop in 2011. I had only been practicing Kundalini Yoga for about a year at that point. Over the course of the 2.5 day workshop I fell in love with the power of Sacred Sound. The way that mantra can penetrate through every cell in your body. I found my voice, discovering that it resided in my navel and not my throat. I had contemplated the idea of undertaking the teacher training and after that weekend had decided that when I was ready to do so that it would be under the guidance of Guru Dass. I began my training in 2012 and as I progressed through each module the layers began to strip away. My family, friends, colleagues and fellow teacher trainers all noticed the difference in me between each module. It was not that I transformed in any way, rather that I found that sacred silent space within me. I was able to find this silence because of the space that both Guru Dass and Sat Siri held. The two had the perfect balance of Bhakti and Shakti. Guru Dass taught with such wisdom and devotion. And Sat Siri had such a powerful positive projection whilst holding such a heart centered, nurturing space. It is because of these two teachers that I am now able to share the technology of Kundalini Yoga in the way that I do, with passion, with grace and with devotion.
Sat Nam. Love, light and blessings to you all."

"I’ve come away from Kundalini teacher training with such a strong sense of presence and affirmation of who I am and the path ahead. I didn’t sign up to be a teacher, I just wanted to learn but in the process received so much more. I can’t speak more highly of Guru Dass who’s patience and understanding underpins his vast knowledge and serenity. He radiates humility and his down to earth frankness makes it a joy to sit for hours and learn from him. A huge congratulations to Mahanraj for organising this event so effortlessly and allowing the space for us all to do what we came to do without distraction….the food was visually amazing and very healthy. Everyone seemed like such old friends from the moment we came together emanating warmth, care and respect, I feel so happy to have landed amongst such loving souls and am blessed to receive the sacred teachings of Kundalini yoga…..a gift for life."

"As soon as I met Sat Siri I felt her calm presence in the room, her voice was one of gentleness, whilst firm, nurturing whilst urging and nudging to push yourself beyond the known to the unknown. I found that her dancing background gives her the foundation of beautiful technique and lines in the postures, which she so clearly facilitates in her teachings. I also resonated how she lives the radiant and clean life she promotes, this aspect was very important to me.
Sat Siri helped me to believe in myself. I would highly recommend Sat Siri's weekend workshops and her teachings in Level 1 training."
